At 4 years, the picture books can get longer and be slightly text heavier (always depending on your child and also the language skill). Some might dive into the first chapter- book- like titles. Illustrations, however, are still very important. Kids this age want to learn about the world, they might start having favorite topics like dinosaurs or questions about heavy topics like death or similar. Laughing is very important, too!
