FUN BOOKS TO LEARN ABOUT GERMANY
Being far away from Germany - and maybe going less home than in other years - you might want to show your children what Germany looks like. Or you are traveling and want to read up on it. Either way here are some stunning or beautiful picture books, non fiction titles to explore and fiction titles to get a feel for what the places are like.

Stunning illustrations presenting ALL German states from an areal view - this book shows the diversity of Germany, the mountains, the sea, the cities and countryside. The snippets chosen to illustrate the regions are often surprising and defy stereotypes. A great book for all ages.

DAS GROSSE HAMBURG-ERKLÄR-BUCH
This book is a great pick to learn about Hamburg, its port and lots more - but also about city life and how it is organized in general: who decides in the city? Where does the garbage go?
Good for beginning readers, but you can also read it aloud, of course.
